1995 – Every Mayoff Day

Sung to the the tune of “Puff the Magic Dragon
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Denise and Bernie Mayoff
spend every Mayoff Day
With kids and friends and those in their
extended family.
First, Bernie chills the drinks, then
cleans and heats the spa.
Denise makes treats from chocolate
that leave her guests in awe!

“The Chestnut casts his flambeaux
and the flowers stream
From hawthorne on the wind away”
wrote Houseman on the theme
“The doors clap to, the pane is blind
with showers, ” Mayoff Day,
Pass me the can lad;” A.E. scribed,
for, “there’s an end of May.”

Come join the celebration –
enjoy the happy throng.
Renew old ties and don’t forget
to sing the Mayoff song!
And toast the name of Mayoff
and talk and eat and play.
Treasure the place and family,
for this is Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Days are rare, they
are but yearly found –
But scarce-held celebrations are
both precious and profound.
So gather up your family
and bring your friends around.
Enjoy the people and the day
and make a joyful sound!
