2001 – Another Mayoff Day

Sung to the the tune of “Love Potion Number Nine”
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

It happens every year, we gather out this way,
We come to party hearty and we come to stay.
We come to visit, a-nd to play
For we’re anticipating another Mayoff Day!

Denise bakes the cookies, for she knows we will miss
Her special choco-chocolate morsels (give her a kiss!)
If they’re not the center-piece it just wouldn’t do
We’d stamp our feet and hold our breath we’d all turn blue!

We have to get together, celebrate the way
The way that we remember, wouldn’t be okay
To miss the party, se-nd off May
For we’re anticipating another Mayoff Day!

Bernie heats the pool and mixes up the cold drinks
The margarita cooler blows some fuseable links
Bernie starts to panic then, he gives a soft moan
Without the drinks the party’s off we’d all go home!

But it gets fixed, the party’s on, the guests will stay
We eat and drink and talk and laugh and even play
And when it’s over, a-ll will say
That we’re anticipating another Mayoff Day!
