2002 – Time to party, ready to play

Sung to the the tune of “When I’m Sixty-Four”
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

It’s getting near, the ending of May,
Towards the first of June.
Time to celebrate it’s almost Mayoff Day.
Time to party, ready to play.

Come to the Mayoff’s, party at eight.
Come and plan to stay.
Party on this date, know that it’s first rate,
For it’s Mayoff Day!

Pool’s heated up, I’m ready to swim.
Even brought a towel.
Bernie’s at the mixer serving frozen drinks
What a party, everyone thinks.

I always know I’ll have a great time,
‘Though I’m turning gray.
This party nears, I’m loosing the years, I’m
Ready ~ Mayoff Day!

Denise has food prepared for us all,
Cookies, dips and more.
Meet new friends and chat with old ~ enjoy the day.
Time gets on but I want to stay.

Old friends and new, I’ve had a great time,
Best be on my way,
It will delight me, when they invite me,
Next year’s Mayoff Day!
