A Toast

It’s Mayoff day! Let’s raise a glass
in toast to all who this way pass
and take the time to spend this hour or two in celebration.
To all the guests Mayoffs today
who come to smile, to joke, to play,
with family; friends old and new, and join in this libation.
Each year we take this time to meet.
We all have common friends to greet
Denise and Bernie; both of course – from them the invitation.
And those we’ve met through these dear friends
and from those too, it never ends.
True friendships weave a tapestry; a wonderful creation.
So raise your glasses high to two
who build and share these friendships true.
