Beth Shepherd Becomes First Poole College Director of Instructional Design

NCSU Official announcement

As of June 1, Beth Shepherd became NC State Poole College of Management’s first director of instructional design. Shepherd previously served as the online course manager for the Jenkins MBA Program and has been with the college since October 2015.

As the director of instructional design, Shepherd will provide pedagogical consulting, design and development assistance for Poole College. She will collaborate with faculty to use their expertise in brainstorming, developing and implementing courses and programs.

Shepherd’s role will integrate technology units, internal staff and expert knowledge to create an instructional design for a blended training and learning environment.

“We’re delighted to appoint Beth Shepherd as Poole’s first Director of Instructional Design, said Richard Warr, associate dean for faculty and academic affairs. “Beth’s work on the online MBA program is one of the reasons that it remains a top ranked program nationally. Over the past few months, she has played a huge role in helping the college transition to new delivery methods in the COVID-19 world. As we look forward, Beth will continue to help our faculty deliver our impactful, innovative curriculum.”
