Mayoff Day - 2014

Hear the 2014 Texas Mayoff Day Tabernacle Choir.

We invite you to sing along.

Sung to the tune "Baby Elephant Walk"
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

  Mayoff Day Walk
(Baby Elephant Walk)

Bernie and Denise went down to Cape Town.
Down to Africa to see the sights.
All day… They Flew…
When at last they finally arrived there
They toured the city, and then they headed out, excited, to the veldt.

From safari camp they ventured out,
Photoed wildebeest and dik-diks, too!
Then helped… A rhino.
Saw giraffes and lions in the sunlight.
And crocodiles, and watched a leopard stalking, he was hunting for his meal.

And, of course, the biggest sight of all –
Bigger than the hippo or the gnu.
The ele….. ephant…..

Bulls and cows and little ele-babies!
Denise and Bernie; they had a great time, took lots of photos, then flew home.

…. And now they’re back!

We invite you to sing along.

Sung to the tune "Red River Valley"
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

 Mayoff Day, time to gather
(Red River Valley)

Time to gather again at the Mayoffs,
As each year, we all do, meeting here.
For it's now Mayoff Day, time to gather,
And to raise cups for all gathered near.

For Denise and her dear husband, Bernie,
And the kids, and the grandkids now too,
Have all gathered here, waiting to greet us,
Anxious to our acquaintance renew.

Time to toast friends we've known, all in common;
All the people we've met through the years;
All the new friends from this celebration;
All the ones we remember with tears.

And tonight, driving home in the moonlight,
Please remember, whatever you do,
To rejoice in your family and friends who
All are so, so, important to you.

Sung to the tune "Humoresque"
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

 Mayoff Day, 2011
(Humoresque)

Each Year, on Mayoff Day, we meet
To greet, and eat Denise's treats
And catch up on each others tales and lives!

And this year, too, as oft we do,
'Tis true, don't you, I know you, too
Will brag a bit about your kids and wives!

We sang no songs, the winter, long,
And spring's, near gone, yet lingers on
The summer's but a fortnight from this fest.

Enjoy the night, the time is right
To sip, til' tight, enjoying bites
Of savory morsels, each one seems the best.

And join with kin and, with our friends
Discussing trends, enlarging ends
Cast ills aside and laugh the night away!

We gather here in June, each year
We all appear to each be near
You two, who bring us close each Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Day - 2010
Something new this year: Here is the actual video recording of the following song as performed by those attending Mayoff Day 2010 in Texas. We invite you to sing along.

Sung to the the tune of "Jarabe Tapito [Mexican Hat Dance]"
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Mayoff Day Dance!

You know that it's springtime in Texas
When the weather starts turning bizarre
On Monday it hails down while you shiver
And on Tuesday you roast in your car.
But we're happy to dodge the tornados
And moisture from down Houston way
For soon as its springtime in Texas
We know it will be Mayoff Day!

The fun! The wine! The pool!
-         And what of the fine buffet?
The pool! The wine! The fun!

-          We celebrate Mayoff Day!

So get into the spirit and party
And as further down south they would say,
Hoy, todos estamos los Mayoffs
We all can be Mayoffs today!
           Ignore, then, the inclement weather
The skies may be sunny or gray
For the fiercest of storms in the springtime
Cannot dampen a fine Mayoff Day!

The fun! The wine! The pool!
-         And what of the fine buffet?
The pool! The wine! The fun!
-         Enjoying our Mayoff Day!

Ole!

Sung to the tune, 'Itsy Bitsy, Teenie Weenie, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.'

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Mayoff Day, 2009
Chocolate-Craving, no Martini, Let's just have a Cold Bellini

She was afraid to come out of the hot tub.
She was as nervous as she could be.
He, too, was stuck there in the hot tub.
They were afraid that somebody would see!

[Chorus]
Two, three, four! Gather round, I'll tell you more!
It was a chocolate-craving, no martini, let's just have a cold bellini
crowd together, on this Mayoff Day!
A chocolate-craving, no martini, let's just have a cold bellini
and in the hot tub, they wanted to stay.
Two three four! Bet you wonder what they wore.

Her bikini once flattered her figure.
His speedo he thought did the same.
But alas, in the years since they'd worn them,
Both the swimsuits had shrunk, what a shame!

(Chorus)

They're afraid to come out of the hot tub
Oh so worried what people will think
In the meantime, their fingers are pruning
And their baby-white skin's turning pink

(Chorus)

But an answer occurred to our heroes,
To be teeny, a suit must be worn
So they stripped off the offending garments
and stepped out, calm and quite unadorned

(Chorus)

From the hot tub to the towel.
Wrap the towel close around
Serve a smooth frozen bellini
Then enjoy another round!

Sung to the tune, 'I Write the Songs.'
Lyrics by Bernie "Manilow" Mayoff

Mayoff Day, 2009 part deux
Doug Writes the Songs!

He is Doug Frazier
And he wrote the very first song
He puts the words and the melodies together
He is Doug Frazier and he writes the songs

He writes the songs that Mayoff friends sing
He writes the songs of love and special things
He writes the songs that make the listeners cry
Doug writes the songs, Doug writes the songs

He writes about the food and drink
And he writes about the people we meet
Now when we meet each Mayoff Day
We're young again, even as we see old friends to greet.

He writes the songs that Mayoff friends sing
He writes the songs of love and special things
He writes the songs that make the listeners cry
Doug writes the songs, Doug writes the songs

Oh, his lyrics take a chance
You may even want to dance
And he wrote some rock 'n' roll so you can move
Music fills your heart, well, that's a real fine place to start

It's from Doug, it's for you
It's from Doug, it's for me
It's a worldwide symphony

He writes the songs that Mayoff friends sing
He writes the songs of love and special things
He writes the songs that make the listeners cry
Doug writes the songs, Doug writes the songs

He writes the songs that Mayoff friends sing
He writes the songs of love and special things
He writes the songs that make the listeners cry
Doug writes the songs, Doug writes the songs

He is Doug Frazier and he writes the songs

Sung to the the tune of "Yellow Rose of Texas"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Mayoff Day, 2008

It's Mayoff Day in Texas!

Oh, June is fast approaching, the end of May is here.
That festive celebration we all enjoy is near.
We celebrate in springtime, when flowers brightly say,
"the world is in its splendor, prepared for Mayoff Day!'

It's the finest family holiday to rally friends and kin;
The perfect mix of people, with chocolate blended in .
You may celebrate St. Paddy's, on New Year's you may play,
But nothing can compare with this, our favorite: Mayoff Day!

In the hot tub, conversation, beneath the starry skies.
In the kitchen, finely crafted aromas mix and rise.
And those we haven't seen for long come up and bid us well,
We talk about old times and friends, old stories we do tell.

It's the finest family holiday to rally friends and kin;
The perfect mix of people, with chocolate blended in .
You may celebrate St. Paddy's, on New Year's you may play,
But nothing can compare with this, our favorite: Mayoff Day!

Enjoy it for the moment, remember why you're here,
And give a hug to Bernie, Denise and all so dear,
And when you wake, tomorrow, promise yourself and say,
"I'll welcome every morning as if it's Mayoff Day!"

It's the finest family holiday to rally friends and kin;
The perfect mix of people, with chocolate blended in .
You may celebrate St. Paddy's, on New Year's you may play,
But nothing can compare with this, our favorite: Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Day - 2007

Here is the actual sound recording of the following song as performed by those attending Mayoff Day 2007 in Texas. We invite you to sing along. Scroll down for the words.

Sung to the the tune of "Sixteen Tons"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Mayoff Day, 2007

Mayoff Day, and what do you get?
Bellinis and cookies, and maybe then wet!
It's, 'Hello,' Bernie, Denise gets kissed,
then wave, 'hi, there,' to the friends that you've missed.

We've had sixteen songs, (well, one was a glitch!)
All sung off-tune, off-key and off-pitch
We've bellowed them out, falsetto and base
And tried our best, 'til we're red in the face!

Denise and Bernie, they take it quite well.
They smile politely, you'd think we sung swell.
They're consummate hosts, they really are fine,
They laugh and clap, then guzzle more wine!

But we all have fun, and every year say,
We just can't wait for next Mayoff Day.
But it isn't the singing, the drinks or food,
It's the family of friends and the general mood.

Mayoff Day doesn't last very long.
Bellinis and cookies and a doggerel song!
Then, 'farewell,' Bernie Denise a kiss,
And we wave, 'good-by,' to those we will miss.

Mayoff Day - 2005

Toast by Doug Frazier

Mayoff Day, 2005
A toast

It's Mayoff day! Let's raise a glass
in toast to all who this way pass
and take the time to spend this hour or two in celebration.

To all the guests Mayoffs today
who come to smile, to joke, to play,
with family; friends old and new, and join in this libation.

Each year we take this time to meet.
We all have common friends to greet
Denise and Bernie; both of course - from them the invitation.

And those we've met through these dear friends
and from those too, it never ends.
True friendships weave a tapestry; a wonderful creation.

So raise your glasses high to two
who build and share these friendships true.
Denise and Bernie, please accept our love and salutations.

Sung to the the tune of "Waltzing Matilda"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Long years ago, when Bernie was a younger man,
Proud of his name and his family tree,
Looked at a calendar, only as a young man can,
At his month's end an idea had he.

Celebrate Mayoff, celebrate Mayoff,
Celebrate Mayoff the first day of June.
Bernie danced and he sang out, I've invented Mayoff Day,
I'll throw a party each year to this tune!

He soon wed Denise, they celebrated Mayoff Day.
She added cookies and food to the fest,
And together, they gathered their friends to join their happy play
Now a tradition that ranks with the best.

Celebrate Mayoff, Celebrate Mayoff,
Celebrate Mayoff the first day of June.
Now together they gather, commemorate the end of May,
And at the party, this song they will croon.

Celebrate Mayoff, Celebrate Mayoff,
Celebrate Mayoff the first day of June!
Join we now with all Mayoffs to celebrate each Mayoff Day,
Knowing the evening will end far too soon!

Sung to the the tune of "Mexican Hat Dance"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

If you find yourself just south of Plano
In the week of the ending of May,
Join Denise and Bernie, for they know
How to celebrate on Mayoff Day!

You'll enjoy a tart frozen Bellini
And chocolate cookies, of course,
And singing off key (just a teenie)
Like karaoke, only worse.

All the guests who attend are delighted
To join in the celebration.
In front Tiki-torches are lighted
And in back the pool's ready, dive in.

So sip at another bellini,
Buffet's got a good second course,
And a third drink (it's late, just a teenie);
Now the song's good, it's really great verse!

Mayoff day is a reason to party,
Enjoying both family and friends;
Conversations both mundane and arty
And a song that it seems never ends.

Sung to the the tune of "When I'm Sixty-Four"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

It's getting near, the ending of May,
Towards the first of June.
Time to celebrate it's almost Mayoff Day.
Time to party, ready to play.

Come to the Mayoff's, party at eight.
Come and plan to stay.
Party on this date, know that it's first rate,
For it's Mayoff Day!

Pool's heated up, I'm ready to swim.
Even brought a towel.
Bernie's at the mixer serving frozen drinks
What a party, everyone thinks.

I always know I'll have a great time,
'Though I'm turning gray.
This party nears, I'm loosing the years, I'm
Ready ~ Mayoff Day!

Denise has food prepared for us all,
Cookies, dips and more.
Meet new friends and chat with old ~ enjoy the day.
Time gets on but I want to stay.

Old friends and new, I've had a great time,
Best be on my way,
It will delight me, when they invite me,
Next year's Mayoff Day!

Sung to the the tune of "Love Potion # 9"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

It happens every year, we gather out this way,
We come to party hearty and we come to stay.
We come to visit, a-nd to play
For we're anticipating another Mayoff Day!

Denise bakes the cookies, for she knows we will miss
Her special choco-chocolate morsels (give her a kiss!)
If they're not the center-piece it just wouldn't do
We'd stamp our feet and hold our breath we'd all turn blue!

We have to get together, celebrate the way
The way that we remember, wouldn't be okay
To miss the party, se-nd off May
For we're anticipating another Mayoff Day!

Bernie heats the pool and mixes up the cold drinks
The margarita cooler blows some fuseable links
Bernie starts to panic then, he gives a soft moan
Without the drinks the party's off we'd all go home!

But it gets fixed, the party's on, the guests will stay
We eat and drink and talk and laugh and even play
And when it's over, a-ll will say
That we're anticipating another Mayoff Day!

Here is the actual sound recording of the following song as performed by those attending Mayoff Day 2000 in Texas. We invite you to sing along. Scroll down for the words.

Sung to the the tune of "That's Amore!"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

See the man with a smile
On his face all the while,
He's a Mayoff!
And the lady who looks
Quite as good as she cooks,
She's a Mayoff!

They're a pair, are those two,
And great friends, tried and true
For they're Mayoffs!
And the last day of May,
They invite us to play,
For they're Mayoffs!

Chocolate cookies, Denise
Adds the chips, piece by piece
She's a Mayoff!
All the food is gourmet,
But then what can you say
She's a Mayoff!

Take a dip in the pool,
Naturel (I'm no fool!)
A la Mayoff!
And the night never ends,
For you're here with old friends,
A la Mayoff!

It is now Mayoff Day
Time for us to all say,
I'm a Mayoff!"
Margarita's held high,
As we toast and say, "I,
I'm a Mayoff!"

Mayoff Day - 1999

Here is the actual sound recording of the following song as performed by those attending Mayoff Day 1999 in Texas. We invite you to sing along. Scroll down for the words.

Sung to the tune" Music of the Night from the Phantom of the Opera

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

 Mayoff Day is...
      Time to take life slowly.
To enjoy your
     Friendships and your family.
Know that love abounds so
You'll think of those around so
Fix well these sights and sounds so
    You'll be here,
Enjoying Mayoff Day with someone dear.

Mayoff Day is...
     More than slowly sipping
Frozen drinks or
     Casually dipping,
While you talk of weather,
    Or politics or whether
That couple there will ever
    Get engaged,
Or noting that a common friend has aged.

Mayoff Day is...
     Time for introspection:
Family, Friends are
     Worthy of reflection,
Think of all they mean to
You, shoulders that you lean to
And joys that each has seen to
    Send your way.
And celebrate them now on Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Day 1998

Sung to the tune: "Disney's Mickey Mouse Theme"

Lyrics by Doug Frasier

Mayoff Day is
Fi-nal-ly here
What's the year's best holiday
that's made for you and me?
M-A-Y O-F-F it is Mayoff Day!
     Mayoff Day . . . Mayoff Day. . .
          Mayoff Day. . . Mayoff Day. . .
Forever hold your margaritas high
     High, high, high, high
Sip a bit and sing the song and join the jubilee!

M-A-Y O-F-F it is Mayoff Day!
     Mayoff Day, it's . . . Mayoff Day, now
          Mayoff Day, it's Mayoff Day, now . . .
Munch a cookie, hug a friend and sing a verse off-key!

M-A-Y O-F-F it is Mayoff Day!
     Mayoff Day . . . Bernie's Day . . .
          Mayoff Day . . . Denise's Day . . .
Forever hold your margaritas high
     High, high, high, high
Sip a bit and sing the song and join the jubilee!

M-A-Y O-F-F it is Mayoff Day!
M-A-Y O-F-F it is Mayoff Day!
          M-A-Y?
Because we love Denise's Chocolate Chips!
          O-F-F?
And IF they run out, we'll have to go home!
Happy Mayoff Day!              ~

Mayoff Day 1997

Sung to the tune of: "A Bicycle Built for Two"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Mayoff Day, the
     Time to rejoice and stay
Cheerful, friendly,
     Ready to eat and play
It's always a special day to
Raise drinks and toasting, say to
     Mayoffs and all
     Lets have a ball
          As we celebrate Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Day you
     Know that Denise will serve
Cookies, dips too
     Better than we deserve.
It's always a special day to
Enjoy such food and say to
     Mayoffs and all
     Lets have a ball
          As we celebrate Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Day was
     Famous for Bernie's cold
Margueritas
     Limejuice and Cuervo Gold
It's always a special day to
Sip one or two and say to
     Mayoffs and all
     Let's have a ball
          As we celebrate Mayoff Day!

     Comes along once a year
Celebrate it
     Always with friends so dear

Mayoff Day 1996

Sung to the tune of: (The Man on the) "MTA"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Let me tell you all the story of a man named Bernie
on a tragic and fateful day.
He wrote out some invitations, kissed his wife and family,
Went to mail them out for Mayoff Day.

But did they ever arrive? No, they never arrived,
and their routing is still unknown . . . (Poor old Bernie)
They are lost forever in the postal system ~
the mail that never got home.

Well, Denise got worried when the phone bell ringing
was a salesman for Women's Day,
She hung up on him, and waited for a caller
     in response to Mayoff Day.

But did a caller ring in? No, no caller rang them,
'though she waited by the phone. (Poor Denise did)
for it never rang, and she could wait forever
     never hear the ringing tone.

But hope springs eternal, so Denise made cookies
and she hollowed out the cabbage head.
Bernie got the margueritas and he cleaned the pool and
set the shrimp out on a lettuce bed.

And then the telephone rang! Then it rang and rang!
Every guest from years gone past, (almost fifty!)
to call up, inquiring 'bout their invitations
and see if they had been asked.

So the guests came by, and all the shrimp were eaten
and the dip and cookies went their ways
And the marguerita cooler blew the circuit breaker
like on every other Mayoff Day.

So if you think you're left out, and it's June first, about,
and you've not been asked to play (Poor forsaken!)
Blame the postal service, call Denise and Bernie
and show up next Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Day 1995
Sung to the tune of: "Puff the Magic Dragon"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

 Denise and Bernie Mayoff
     spend every Mayoff Day
With kids and friends and those in their
     extended family.
First, Bernie chills the drinks, then
     cleans and heats the spa.
Denise makes treats from chocolate
that leave her guests in awe!

"The Chestnut casts his flambeaux
     and the flowers stream
From hawthorne on the wind away"
     wrote Houseman on the theme
"The doors clap to, the pane is blind
     with showers, " Mayoff Day,
Pass me the can lad;" A.E. scribed,
for, "there's an end of May."

Come join the celebration -
     enjoy the happy throng.
Renew old ties and don't forget
     to sing the Mayoff song!
And toast the name of Mayoff
and talk and eat and play.
Treasure the place and family,
     for this is Mayoff Day!

Mayoff Days are rare, they
     are but yearly found -
But scarce-held celebrations are
     both precious and profound.
So gather up your family
     and bring your friends around.
Enjoy the people and the day
     and make a joyful sound!

Mayoff Day 1994

'When Mayoffs throw a Party'
Sung to the tune of: "Oh, Suzanna"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

When the Mayoffs, throw a party,
     every year, on Mayoff Day,
They invite their friends and neighbors,
to enjoy food, fun and play.

First they send an invitation,
     mailed around the U.S.A.
Quoting Housman and anouncin'
     the upcomin' Mayoff Day.

Then Denise bakes chocolate cookies,
on the table she does lay,
Carrot wedgies, other veggies,
all the foods for Mayoff Day.

Bernie warms the spa and pool then,
cleans the deck up with a spray.
Blows the whale up (fills the tail up)
     - need the floats for Mayoff Day!

Guest show up about eight-thirty,
     "Bernie and Denise," they say,
"We're delighted you invited,
     us tonight for Mayoff Day."

Going to Denise and Bernie's,
     Celebrating Mayoff Day.
With our friends enjoyment blends,
it never ends on Mayoff Day.

When the Mayoffs, throw a party,
     every year, on Mayoff Day,
They invite their friends and neighbors,
to share in their Mayoff Day.

Mayoff Day 1993

'Think of Mayoff Day'
Sung to the tune of: "Try to Remember"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Think of the last day of May as Mayoff Day,
A time to join Denise and Bernie.
Think of the last day of May as Mayoff Day:
A time to eat, a time to party.
Think of the last day of May as Mayoff Day,
A time for bright laughter, both full and hearty.
Think of the last day and if you can come play,
     Then join us.
Join us, join us, join us, join us.

Think of the last day of May in a good way,
A time for friends, both old and new found.
Think of the last day of May in a good way:
A time to feast, the toasts should abound:
Think of the last day of May in a good way,
A time for the friends who have gathered around.
Think of Mayoff Day and if you can come play,
     Then join us.
Join us, join us, join us, join us.

Having an off day, I think of Mayoff Day,
Although I know that lows can follow.
Having an off day, I think of Mayoff Day:
Without our friends, the world is hollow.
Having an off day, I think of Mayoff Day -
The joys of Mayoff Day which made us mellow.
Having an off day, remember Mayoff Day,
     And join us...

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

On Mayoff Day, we hit the ground a'running,
jump from the sheets anticipating play.
It goes unsaid the food'll be superb 'n
the people celebrating'll be havin' quite a day!

On Mayoff Day, look forward to those famous chocolate chips,
they leap up from the platter and they march across your lips.
Denise's special vegetable dip in cabbage red
ambrosia personified, it makes you lose your head.

Oh, we drive from Dallas and we ride from Wilmer
come up 3-5 or across on L.B.J.
We come on bikes, in battered old jalopies,
arrive in style in chauffeured cabriolets.

Fourteen-eleven Huntington, the Mayoff's stately manse
sees a steady line of well wishers, of happy celebrants.
To Richardson we've come as one, each sinner, saint and floozie,
all friends indeed, unless one's peed in the Mayoff's Jacuzzi!

We nosh at the fixin's and we sip at the wine'n
we chatter in the living room or pass the time at play.
Before we know it the evening's going to end an'
alas to say, next Mayoff Day will be a year away.

We come to honor Bernie and Denise and all the clan
We honor Mayoffs everywhere, in this and every land,
Rejoicing too in friends like you who sing standing around
to raise our voice in chorus for a final merry sound.

On Mayoff Day, we hit the ground a'running,
jump from the sheets anticipating play.
It goes unsaid the food'll be superb 'n
the people celebrating'll be having quite a day!

Mayoff Day 1991
'The Backyards of Richardson'
Sung to the tune of: "The Streets of Laredo"

Lyrics by Doug Frazier

Chorus: As I wandered out in the back yards of Richardson
As lonely in Richardson, I walked one Day,
I spied a fair couple, all dressed in suits optional
All dressed in fine optional, immersed in a spa.

I said to them, 'couple, you must have this day off,
To stay off from working, to lay off and play.'
Then gently both smiled, neither showed their dismay of
my question but offered me cookies that day.

Chorus: As I wandered out in the back yards of Richardson

'I'm Bernie.' the man said, 'We celebrate Mayoff,
on June first, our family name to repay.
We'll take monday, or tuesday, or even payday off
Please join in the party we have underway.'

Chorus: As I wandered out in the back yards of Richardson

The lady, Denise, took a glass of Tokay off
The tray, gave it me, then she said straightaway,
Take your shirt of chambray off, the pool's not a way off,
Have more chocolate cookies, we know you will stay.

Chorus: As I wandered out in the back yards of Richardson

That was years ago, friends, though it scarce seems a day off
In the Richardson backyard I first thought to stay.
Take your own holiday off, but I'll enjoy Mayoff
With Denise and with Bernie in their hideaway.

Chorus: As I wandered out in the back yards of Richardson

Mayoff Day 1990

(Sung to the tune Camp Town Races (Doodah Doodah!)

Lyrics by Doug Frasier

Denise and Bernie sing this song . . .
     Mayoff! Mayoff!
Sing it loud and sing it long . . .
     Every Mayoff Day!

          Chorus:
Every Mayoff Night! Every Mayoff Day!
Friends come and stay to sing and play,
     Every Mayoff Day!

Each June First we sing and laugh . . .
     Mayoff! Mayoff!
Enjoying a communal bath . . .
     Every Mayoff Day!

          Chorus:
Every Mayoff Night! Every Mayoff Day!
Friends come and stay to sing and play,
     Every Mayoff Day!

We love the munchies that Denise . . .
     Mayoff! Mayoff!
Prepares so each of us can feast . . .
     Every Mayoff Day!

          Chorus:
Every Mayoff Night! Every Mayoff Day!
Friends come and stay to sing and play,
     Every Mayoff Day!

And Bernie takes the thirty-first of . . .
     Mayoff! Mayoff!
To warm the pool and help his love . . .
     Every Mayoff Day!

          Chorus:
Every Mayoff Night! Every Mayoff Day!
Friends come and stay to sing and play,
     Every Mayoff Day!

Let's toast to Bernie and Denise . . .
     Mayoff! Mayoff!
Wish them health and wish them peace . . .
     Every Mayoff Day!

          Chorus:
Every Mayoff Night! Every Mayoff Day!
Friends come and stay to sing and play,
     Every Mayoff Day!
