Don't get caught in one of these scams
Claims need to be questioned...

It looks like we've created such an impact on the world, less than ethical claims are
being made by commercial enterprises that want to play a part in Mayoff family research.

In recent months I have been forwarded two questionable solicitations -
one derives much of its info from this website and is disseminated as spam.
The other one, sent as hardcopy through the postal service, is a total scam. Please check out both graphics on this page.

If you receive either of these invitations DO NOT PAY FOR THEIR SERVICES.

Ancestry.com Scam:

Unless you're researching other surnames, save your money - skip their membership fees after the free trial.

Is the 2003 International Mayoff Family Yearbook is a fraud?
A yearbook celebrating the last 2000 years of Mayoff history

Members of the Denver Better Business Bureau?
Yup, they are. Here's what the BBB has to say about them:
"Customers have experienced a range of problems, primarily about how the company's product is advertised and represented. Customers who purchase the product have alleged that it does not represent their specific family genealogy information. Customers allege that the company sends similar genealogy information to a wide range of customers. The BBB is concerned about the company's response to complaints, and although the company offers refunds, adjustments, or additional product to customers, many customers do not receive the promised adjustments in the BBB's timeframe. Based on these concerns, the BBB is reviewing the company's membership status."

The following is a quote regarding this company from nationally renown genealogical
researcher, author and publisher, James W. Tackitt, GRS,

"This is the same outfit that's been doing this for YEARS on every family "in the universe."
Kind of makes you mad that they can pull a scam like this."

Stay Away From This SCAM!!!
If you receive these or any other questionable offers please contact Art Mayoff so that
we can warn the family about those scams too. And of course when you discover legitimate
information about Mayoff exploits and accomplishments, please contact Art then too.
