2009 – Chocolate-Craving, no Martini, Let’s just have a Cold Bellini

There were two songs this year.  This one written by Doug Frazier and a surprise gift to Doug from the Mayoffs celebrating his decades of Writing the Songs.

Sung to the tune of ‘Itsy Bitsy, Teenie Weenie, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.’
Lyrics by Doug Frazier

She was afraid to come out of the hot tub.
She was as nervous as she could be.
He, too, was stuck there in the hot tub.
They were afraid that somebody would see!

[Chorus]
Two, three, four! Gather round, I’ll tell you more!
It was a chocolate-craving, no martini, let’s just have a cold bellini
crowd together, on this Mayoff Day!
A chocolate-craving, no martini, let’s just have a cold bellini
and in the hot tub, they wanted to stay.
Two three four! Bet you wonder what they wore.

Her bikini once flattered her figure.
His speedo he thought did the same.
But alas, in the years since they’d worn them,
Both the swimsuits had shrunk, what a shame!
(Chorus)

They’re afraid to come out of the hot tub
Oh so worried what people will think
In the meantime, their fingers are pruning
And their baby-white skin’s turning pink
(Chorus)

But an answer occurred to our heroes,
To be teeny, a suit must be worn
So they stripped off the offending garments
and stepped out, calm and quite unadorned
(Chorus)

From the hot tub to the towel.
Wrap the towel close around
Serve a smooth frozen bellini
Then enjoy another round!
