Israel Mayov died suddenly at his home on February 23, 1949. He is survived by his wife, Shifra Simon Mayov; one son, Ben; three grandchildren; one brother, Abraham; and one sister, Mrs. M. Bottler (Sonia). He was the father of the late Dr. Moses Mayov. Funeral took place from Paperman’s, Rabbi M. Wachtfogel officiating. Burial was in King Edward cemetery. Shiva was at the home of his son.
