I woke up to a sunny day
And realized it’s no longer May
So off to the calendar I did run
Ripping May off is so much fun
A special day – this Mayoff day
To celebrate in a special way
Sorry we can’t be with you this year
We don’t have Bellini’s just a beer
But a toast to you – friends so dear.
The 2019 theme was “A Global Culinary Adventure” featuring some of the foods or recipes that Denise and Bernie have collected from countries and places that they’ve visited, as well as foods that have become Mayoff Day traditions.

Frozen bellini machine on the porch, Chicago Vienna hotdogs and fixings in front of the window.
This is what a fully loaded Chicago hotdog looks like!
Lots of interesting people . . .
. . . sharing stories
The international food table included traditional Mayoff Day foods like strawberries and fruit salad (this year in a global watermelon). Also pictured: olives from Greece; hummus from Israel; pita from the Middle East; naan from India; bread bowl with love dip and veggies, shrimp from Australia, maracuja tarts from Brazil (or lilikoi in Hawaii, granadilla in South Africa, passion fruit on the US mainland); and an apple swan that flew in.
More food! Olive oil and herb spread from New Zealand; traditional Mayoff Day cookies; guacamole from Mexico; caramel/waffle cookies from the Netherlands; brownies from New York; Smoked Gouda from Netherlands; Mango Wensleydale from England; Le Pecora (sheep's milk) from Italy; brie and baguette from France.
Thoughtful guests ponder food and drink as we show another point of view of the main table. A Mayoff Day cup even made it into this picture.
